Ten Steps Away aims to be the supportive, motivational friend I could have done with when I started out (about 2 years ago). I want to ensure you don’t get lost before you get going and that your journey runs more smoothly than mine.
While making large sums of money as an “affiliate marketer” is possible, the journey isn’t easy. Without support, it’s tough to go it alone. There are traps to avoid and things you must know how to do and why. Ten Steps Away can help whether you want to make a passive income, get a small business online, or start a new business from home. The aim is to make it enjoyable because why would you do it otherwise?

About Ten Steps Away and Me
Ten Steps Away will help you with affiliate marketing and building a successful website using WordPress.
My approach is different from other “make money online” sites (usually abbreviated to “MMO” sites). I’m more concerned about feeling wealthy than the number of zeros at the end of my income. Because of this, my chief concern will be for you, the visitor to my site.
I understand you will have hope in your heart because I did as well, and my fires are still roaring because of the successes I’ve enjoyed. I also want that to happen for you, so I won’t make false promises here. If I say it, I’ve done it; you have my assurance. Friends, right?
Don’t get me wrong, we’ll talk about making money (don’t click away yet!), but I’m all about taking ethereal power words like freedom, focus, determination, and passion and turning them into something we recognize about ourselves.
The World We Live In
Let’s face it: life’s been especially tough recently. With the rising cost of living and stagnant economic growth, many feel socially and economically alienated.
Depression is rising, poverty is broadening, and aspirations are being stunted. Communities are becoming more insular, personal debt is soaring, and people feel insecure in their jobs. Belts are tightening because of inflation; redundancies are breaking families, and the world is still reeling from its health crisis.
We fear for the future of our societies and our planet. We fear for ourselves.
What I Did
When I reached my lowest ebb, or the most recent of them, in a recurring cycle of losing faith in the world, I finally took heed of Steven R. Covey’s quote:
“One thing’s for sure. If we keep doing what we’re doing, we’re going to keep getting what we’re getting. One definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expect different results.”
As I took stock of my situation and myself through therapy and self-help, it dawned on me that everything I know is something I’ve learned from someone else.
My best quality or richest wisdom could be the inadvertent gift of someone I despise. My biggest weakness might be an inheritance from someone I loved the most, and maybe everything I do is not by undiluted choice. All the things I’ve taken from this world – the knowledge and the traits it tapped into me, for good or ill – are all valuable. I see that now.
So, I got to work on myself and invested in me. In financial terms, my income had halved, but I saved twice as much as before. I put what I had into what I didn’t know, paid for what I needed to succeed, and made sacrifices (none of which I miss much, and I don’t mean killing animals or anything nasty like that).
Yes, I invested in myself financially and emotionally, and now I’m writing this, building this site to pay it forward. I appreciate what I’ve learned about affiliate marketing, and it makes sense that I want to share it with you. I want you to feel successful, too.
Our Positivity Mantra
My philosophy is simple: just one word with ten letters that I’ve made into a poem, a prayer if you like. It’s a mantra I want you to embrace as we begin your affiliate marketing journey, so I’ll share it with you now…

Positivity is my wealthiest commodity, and I hope you find it contagious. By making this mantra our shared vision, you are just 10 steps away from adopting all the behaviors you need to be a successful affiliate marketer. I’ll teach you how to harness these positive aptitudes on this site and provide plenty of context. It will be our reference point and our motivation.
I understand there’s a reason for visiting sites like mine, and I care about that. I’m here to help and support you wherever you are. I want you to enjoy the best life you can.
How Ten Steps Away Operates
So, let’s talk about the truths of Ten Steps Away.
I’ll earn a commission from any sales the site generates – that’s the nature of affiliate marketing, and I’ll obviously talk a lot about that. My affiliate disclosure has details about my associations and how they work.
You don’t have to spend a dime, a penny, or whatever your currency to be welcome here. Ten Steps Away is where you can learn how to build a website to discuss the things you love. You’ll also learn how to earn a passive income from it.
It is rewarding to endorse reputable products that work for me or that I would love to have. It’s a bonus I can earn money by telling others about them, and I trust you’ll approach affiliate marketing with a similar mindset. If you want to profit from someone else’s loss, then Ten Steps Away isn’t where you should be. Yours is a different journey, so please look elsewhere.
